Hello, I would like to ask you a question. I have in a small hotel 30 LED strips in the hallways (30 meters in total) and the owner wants that when the light is cut off they remain on. I thought to put an ups. What do you think about it ? Thank you

it's a very good idea. you connect the ups to the network and the lights to the ups and that's it, I only know when there is no power in the network, of course you have to put a sw switch or photo cell according to the need

HELLO FRIEND:
QUESTION WHY COMPLICATE YOUR LIFE WITH UPS AND LED STRIPS WHEN YOU CAN INSTALL EMERGENCY LUMINAIRES THAT ARE CONNECTED VERY SIMPLE TO THE TAKES OF THE NETWORK AND WHEN IT IS CUTTING ON, AUTOMATICALLY, WHAT YOU HAVE TO HAVE IS WITH SOME FISHER RODS AND SCREWS TO BE FIXED TO THE WALL.

Hi. Are these LED strips the normal lighting of the place? If so, you can place a UPS as you mention that directly feeds its power transformer. You can even make an exclusive electrical circuit for them by leaving the switch that turns them on as if to turn them off when they are not needed. Regards

You will need an ups for every 3 LED strips so that they have acceptable autonomy like emergency lights. You can also see if the board of the ups can support one more battery in parallel to increase the amperage and reduce the amount of UPS. Greetings from Tucumán - Argentina

Hi. Why one UPS for every 3 LED strips? The capacity of a system of these even the smallest is sufficient. They are usually 400W. With this power would be enough and if you put a good capacity battery you will have hours of lighting. Regards

Hi esteban 2016 I tell you about your problem: the solution that gives you servimat 1 is really right everything depends on the client too, and his disposition with the money , however you have 30 LED strips according to what you indicated, normally each led strip comes from 5 mtrs and consume an average of 2 amps for each strip, but in the end you say that they are about 30 meters that would be about 6 led strips = 12 amp would be the total consumption, so you should place a larger capacity battery in the ups if they want to last at least 2 hours on that you can add a photocell of those used to turn on exterior lighting systems in buildings X , making an extension with cables and 2 you take a female and the other male to place it at the exit of the ups, (only if the corridors get external lighting if you do not leave it directly because by day or night the aisles will always be dark ), and voila calculates that with any battery d The normal vehicle will work excellent for you because the batteries in the ups that deliver the most are 7 amps, I hope you find it useful, thanks for taking the time to read.
