Neutral trips differential circuit breaker

Hi. My question: In a three-phase installation, place a thermomagnetic switch and a differential circuit breaker (both tetrapolar). Upstream there is a cutting key only for the phases that are low. When the switch and circuit breaker rise, the differential circuit breaker jumps by itself. Then I tried to connect the phases and give tension and follow the same problem. He ended up connecting only the phases to the thermomagnetic switch and the neutral made a bridge outside the circuit breaker and the installation is running. My question is whether it is due to a neutral ground wire contact or what it may be. Thank you.

Hello
Check the differential of having connected the neutral to the terminal specifically intended for neutrals

Yes. it is well connected to terminal N of the differential

It is rare, the bridge should make it jump unless the neutral intensity is less than the ID I∆n Maybe the ID has an internal fault, or you have a real fault in the installation, in that case you have to start with the usual, separating lines (if the cables are not identified, mark with different colored tapes each phase and neutral to not cross nothing to reconnect) Test each line you separate separately and you will get to isolate the fault But it will be necessary to resort to megar the installation Comment

Hello You must test the power cutter with its test button; Prior to that, to hook it, disconnect the output cables. If the circuit breaker engages, and passes the test test, then you certainly have a ground leak. Triggering the differential circuit breaker with the cut phases does not necessarily mean that it is neutral, since some circuit may be closed and the leakage will occur the same on the active cable (do you understand this?) Anyway, in the neutral or in the phase, you must look for the ground fault. You must proceed as follows: Disconnect two of the phases and leave only one bypassing the others; In this way you proceed to look for the damage as if it were a single-phase installation, without risk of losing the neutral and having a damage, or risk of accident. At this point, look for the fault. I just uploaded the method in a recent post (an hour ago), so check out what I describe. Here the link: circuit breaker-differential-skip-and-disconnect-everything I don't know what degree of knowledge you have to look for the fault, but if you have doubts, comment.

Hello everyone. After a lot of work since it was a workshop with 12 three-phase boards, of which replaced 5. We found in several boards that used ground discharge as neutral. So we placed the general wiring as it should be and there was no problem with the circuit breakers. Thank you very much for the help.

I'm glad. I tell you that some decades ago there were places that because they are three-phase motor consumption, and low single-phase consumption did not lower the neutral, then they planted a javelin, put the cabinets to earth and there they connected the neutral. I thought that was history, since with the differential circuit breakers there can be none left. Regards

If so. I don't even tell you how the rest of the installation was. Thanks again.
