Household Electricity

New electrical installation

Good I want to ask for guidance, I just moved and the house electrical installation old, in turn there is no "turtle" or any union in sight where you can see to change, the owner does not know where they are in case you have , you only see where the ambient lights are. they are all covered with the same plaster of the walls so I had to do a whole new installation I have made a kitchen, a new laundry room where a garage was, since that place is going to be the one with the highest electricity consumption. For the installation I used a 32 amp thermometer and in turn I connected a 25 amp for the lines in them use 4mm cable for the power supply and 2.5 cable for the descent to the sockets ... to these lines they will be connected dishwasher washing machine, 2 heat dryers (1 wall and one drum as a washing machine), induction hob, spar, 1000lts microwave oven, freezer. D all the above what consumes most are the heat dryers and the induction hob. The query is 2 I have to bring the line that will feed these thermals, from the meter, I had planned to put 6mm underground cable since I would have to fix it externally because I can not chop or dig, is the cable measurement ok? and the second I will be fine with the thermals I put? To the 32 amp will be connected also feeding an air conditioner of 5500 refrigerators, this has its own thermal but the power will use the 32 to avoid having to cut the cable that comes from the meter. Usually what is always used together, are freezer washing machine induction plate and dryer. I have learned many things by reading the forum today I have to ask myself since I thank you for any guidance you can give me.

Hello You mention a number of artifacts ... but not their consumption. How to know if these cables are well calculated? And do not forget that (thermal) protectors are calculated according to the driver to be protected.

Hi. I think from what you describe that with 4 mm² as a general line you have fallen short. It would be necessary to place 6 mm² with thermal of 2 x 32 amps. Make an exclusive line for the kitchen sockets with 4 mm² cable and a thermal of 2 x 25 amps. The general purpose socket lines would be fine with 2.5 mm² and 2 x 16 thermal cables. For the lighting lines they would be 1.5 mm² and 2 x 10 thermal cables. Remember to put grounding all over the installation whose section must be equal to that of the phase / neutral with a minimum of 2.5 mm². Regards

Yes, I think that both answers tell me to divide the consumption a little, so guys I will do that.

Hello In principle you should not be far with your calculations (but ...); Some points that then allow us to draw conclusions: It says for collector sockets of 4 mm² and drops of 2.5 mm², it could be, but the protection of that line must be maximum 2 x 20A; The normal capacity of that circuit is 4400 W. Dishwasher, electric oven, microwave, washing machine, freezzer ... and the thermal of 2 x 20A is short. We must add consumption and take into account the real simultaneity that is high, so it is possible and necessary two circuits, one that covers the electric oven. For food, based on the elements mentioned (medium / high consumption devices), but the AA takes out the necessary cable section, hence the protections. Remember that almost all things can be used together in summer (simultaneity: 1), so take out the sum of real consumption of the kitchen and laundry to determine the power line and the circuits involved. Thanks for the help, I'm going to add up the supplies in advance, but the most certain thing is that I will take out an independent line for the induction cooktop that I think is what I use the electric furnace most continuously although it is almost large and I do not use it, until now the house, even though its cables are old and thin, hold the dryer and the stove together if I am an adventurer when using the cables of the house installation. but well I'm going to have to connect the new line so as not to weaken the old ones ...
