Hi guys, I have a little doubt. A little while ago thanks to all the coarse ones that helped me here I was able to assemble my sectional board. So far so good. Now I just look and see that the drop of the connection cable is 4 mm2 to the meter and from there also comes a 4 mm2. I thought it convenient to put a thermal of 20 A on the pillar and from there with 10 mm cable (sintenax) to my general on the sectional board with a thermal of 40 A. The question itself, is this, look at my picture, the cables will be well protected if on the sectional board if I make those combinations go from smaller to larger diameter cables (I calculate that I protected them ... but I want the opinion from the experts Attached image to understand me better Thank you very much !!!

Hello, that project is not good for me, since I have a 4mm driver from the rush, since we are going, it limits you to the fact that the largest section of the driver you can put is 4mm. You can move from a larger section to a girl, but never from a girl to a large one, except in this case that you use a thermomagnetic corresponding to the section of the smaller driver. It is my humble opinion, the experts will come who will get your doubts right. Regards

Hernan, what you say is very correct but such a thing applies when we talk about the same types of cables
For example, mentioning special cables for connection, a pre-assembled 2x4mm2 supports 49A and a concentric 1x4 + 4 mm2 supports 43A any of them can be associated with a 10 mm2 conductor iram nm247-3

If elektomaq is right about that, I missed that the 4mm conductors of the connection could be pre-assembled or concentric. Luckily we have people like you who take all our doubts and learn day by day.

Hello I'm glad you were able to make the boards successfully What is wrong is the thermal of 20 in main board. It is not viable with consumption The rush is the responsibility of the company (Edesur), it is not your business to protect it, but it does affect you directly if it burns. The important thing is not the section of the cable but the type of cable, if it is concentric or pre-assembled it holds much more than a common PVC conductor, I would recommend that you still ask for a change of connection by 6 or 10 mm2 to avoid future problems . Possibly request a statement of charges and a single-line made by a licensed electrician to justify the increase in power. As for the thermal of 20, change to 40A regards
