Hello people, greetings to all! As the title of my query says, I would like to know if it is possible to connect dimmable LED lamps directly to 220V without using a dimmer. The issue is that the supply of the intact dimmer goes to 5 lighting mouths of which 3 have dimmable led lamps the other two empty, now for a reform of the premises I need to leave 2 lamps and place 3 low consumption and as the dimmer no longer It works (it only acts as a cut-off key) and it is not necessary for the lamps to be dimmable. I wanted to know if it is possible to directly feed the LEDs with 220v to directly eliminate the dimmer and put a common switch.
Hi. There is no problem as long as they are common lamp and fit for the line. The dimmer is nothing but a switch but electronic. If they are GU10 connection forward only. Regards
Hi servimat, thanks for replying. So what I decided is that the dimmable LED lamps can be connected directly to 220 without necessarily putting a dimmer?
Yes. Being dimerizable the only thing that changes is the "source" system they have. The dimmable ones have a more elaborate one. Are they with GU10 socket?
In the body of the lamp you must say for what voltage it was manufactured, if it says 220V, with dimer or without dimer it works perfect, the only difference is that without dimer they will not be able to regulate the intensity, it will always be at maximum
regards
ready, if the box said 220v and gave the recommendation to use dimmer x that's my question. But I already removed the dimmer and it was perfect. Thanks and regards!
