How do I build subfloor and water repellent folder on earthenware?

Good, how about! .... It turns out that a few years ago my lady's uncle, supposed mason made me the crockery ceiling with joists. But with the difference that divided the joists in half and they did it in two parts, so in the middle a fissure was made more or less like the fault of San Andres. And, the problem in the days of humidity and when it rains much is that water leaks, waterfall type. That is why, without being a bricklayer, it occurred to me to build a subfloor on top that in turn is covered by a water-repellent folder ... What do you think? ... The roof has a surface area of 42 square meters.

And if in the middle I make a chain joining it with the irons, Sikadur applied the base and then filled it with hormkgon

Hi. There is only one definitive way to solve your problem and it consists in enlarging the crack or joint to a width of about 10 cm, applying SIKADUR 32 (Monolithic adhesive) and then filling it with concrete. Once dry it will be extremely hard and compact so that water never falls there again. If you make a folder over the entire surface there will be no adherence between the new and the existing. Once the repair dries you can apply two coats of fiber paint regards

Effectively. With 1 liter of SIKADUR 32 you will walk well. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for good results.

You can effectively use it. With a grinder enlarge the cracks in width not less than 10 cm x about 5 cm minimum depth. "Paint" the sides and bottom of this new crack with SIKA and then pour the concrete or concrete and let dry. About 5 days minimum apply two coats of fibrous paint and it would be all. It is final, follow the manufacturer's instructions.

The plates can not be made in two parts, do not explain why divided the joists in half? If the reason is that you put a suncho or small beam to give more consistency to the plate. The fact is that in the absence of knowing if the plate has iron and is based on pillars, putting more weight on it can be a problem rather than a solution. If you put images we could venture to evaluate what the solutions can be.

Plate (Spain) is said to the roof deck. It can be solid or forged with joists and vaults or other material such as Poliespan, porexpan, white cork, or expanded polystyrene or called elsewhere. Forged to become continuous, it cannot be cut and left for another day.

Sorry, I thought you were talking about a plasterboard or something. I did not know that they called concrete slabs that way in Spain, however it is a somewhat conflictive term within the construction ... it really tends to confuse ... greetings

It is LAW that whenever about two slabs, always, but always, will make you a huge waterfall in the crack. I suppose that what Servimat says makes perfect sense, I have not tried it. In my house, a bath was made next to the barbecue and every time it rains the whole bath is filled with water. The entire asphalt membrane of the whole house has been changed, however the problem is still there. Luck that it rains twice a year where I live: D

The product I mention is used to repair containment levees worldwide, anchors and grouting in heavy construction. We have used it many times with excellent results. regards

I clarify that the construction was not done by me, made by my mrs uncle and split the joists because they could not climb them .... a disaster Servirmat, can it be repaired at least?

So structurally it is not acceptable. Although the technique and materials that I mentioned are the ideals they will serve to repair.
