Leaking roof slab when sunny

Good afternoon, I would like your expert opinions, during the last rains of summer, I began to have multiple leaks on the slab roof, in various parts of the house and leaked even more, when it stopped raining and the sun was rising. It is a house of more than 50 years, the roof had a membrane, the bricklayer recommended removing the entire membrane, making a cement binder, then placing waterproofing. That was done, almost a month ago, the leaks slowly disappeared, but when the sun rises, again, leaks ... The water pipes pass quite far from where I have the problems. I do not know what to think, if the work is badly done, badly analyzed and that was not solusion, if the slab can take months to dry what got wet internally by the rains and I just have to be patient or what ?! I would greatly appreciate your guidance. regards

Send several photos of the roof where you can also see the unions with walls and entrance door to the terrace, if any. Greetings.

Hi. As you mention the leaks are given by the expansion of the crockery and there must be water in the load. Is this cargo land? Did they put any product between the old roof and the new folder? There is no good adhesion between both layers since they are of very different ages. regards

Hello, thanks for answering. I don't know what the load is, the folder was made of sand and cement, they gave it a slight slope. As far as I know, they didn't put anything between the old roof, (before there were the bricks and directly the membrane they removed).
Anyway, this, of the leaks in sunny days, already happened before making the folder, only then it dripped a little during the rain and when the sun came out, the drip got worse, now it only drips, when it is sunny.

The load should be removed at least in the most critical areas and verify the problem. But it will be patch upon patch.

Hi niennari :: with respect to water and humidity, one on the roof and the other on the walls, they are a theme that looks like the "RENCOR", sooner or later it appears and bothers a lot, on a roof of more than 50 years, there are so many cracks, and fissures to make a filter, so waterproofing it is a job that if it is not well done, it is more useless than a deaf ear, to start, it must be cleaned well, by steel brush, scraper, chip floor and everything else, until leaving the material in sight. Then with a waterproofing, (a very good one is the "TACURU"), diluted with water, give 2 or 3 hands allowing it to absorb well in the fissures, then undiluted, others, and just put a good, thick membrane on top. new. not aged in the tank, work done by a good setter, then even if a sink is made on the roof, you do not find out, if instead, you add cementitious material on the old, no matter how, it will rain more on the hot days of Sun, that cold from heavy rain. good luck with that.

Good, I tell you that after months fighting with the mason and talking with the assistants I discover that they had to break the cement folder they made, to fix a pipe that they broke and that implies, as servimat said, patch on patch. The mason placed a bandage with waterproofing in the areas that he says are the source of water seeping, we will see after the next rain and later sun ... If you remove the folder in the affected area and remake, deafness is done . I guess I will end up hiring someone else, since this man is unreliable, I understand that it is normal for them to leave their officers working while they go to see other works, but if their employees make a mistake and he hides it, nothing he does It will be reliable. Thank you very much for your answers, they helped me a lot, I would say that both could solve the problem, I will know when I have money again for the fix hehe. Greetings.

The truth, too bad this happened to you. The worst is having wanted to hide the fault. There is nothing worse than leaks or dampness. Ideally, to solve the area would be to cut a cloth, repair, place some SIKA latex transition product at the base and SIKADUR 32 at the edges and concrete again. regards
