Good day: I need to replace the motor bearings of the AWT 2280 washing machine and I can't take out the tachometer coil to move the rear bearing. A metal head is seen at the tip of the shaft, as if it were a rivet, but I did not try to force it so as not to damage the coil. Thank you. 20180128_215739.jpg [599.03kb] 20180128_215744.jpg [602.0 I finally got the magnet. It is fastened with the rivet that has a spline on the tip and is nailed to the shaft. There was no way to get it out other than to cut off the head and then glue the magnet to the rivet. As a contribution attached a photo showing the rivet cut and replacements are seen. Thank you very much for the answers. 20180129_185033.jpg [528.68kb]

Hi, I did the same job but on an engine of an awt 2285, assuming they have the same engine, what you call a rivet is the tip of the shaft, a plastic ring is on the press, the magnet and against the bearing another plastic ring thicker, regards.

Thank you very much for your response !!!!! The engine is similar but the part of the coil is different. I uploaded the photos in the question so that it is better appreciated. The magnet is covered and that cover is below the tip of the shaft. I think it is not under pressure and is held by this head that looks like a rivet. I still didn't try to take it out for fear of breaking it. I appreciate any suggestions. Regards

If it's different, I didn't see an engine like that, won't it be screwed on? If you dare try unscrewing it, I've seen motors where the magnet is screwed but they don't have that end on the shaft end, regards.

It is not screwed. I asked in a house where motors wind and they told me that it is riveted. You should cut the head of the rivet and then glue the magnet with some adhesive. Thank you very much for your good willingness to help.

Dear, as the colleague says, check if the coil is not threaded like the Aurora. Regards
