Hello friends! Isn't it supposed that if a 12v AC T already has its diode bridge, does it have to hit the 12v DC bridge as well? Or not? Help me with that will be that the bridge is open? That makes some pieces overheated, thanks!

If you have 12 VAC when you rectify and filter it, the capacitors are charged to the peak value of the effective 12 V, which is exactly 17v = 12 * 1.41. All this is empty.

Thank you! Look, I measure it at the exit of the diodes and there are the 17v. And two resistors get like a hot hash, I tried a 9v T and it doesn't heat that much, but the original T has 2 secondary and one negative and this 9v only has one secondary. Now it means that the one who is delivering this 12v T is ok?

Is the 12v T voltage good then?

And those resistances as and where they are connected? and what value are they? and of what power? You call two secondary and one negative.
Will it be a middle school secondary? If it is a secondary with a midpoint, is it a 12 + 12 or 6 + 6 traffic? Is the midpoint connected somewhere? or is it in the air?
It would be good to draw a picture of what you have armed and thus be able to give a better opinion
there are many questions to answer

if it is a transformer of the old coils, (not a switched source like those of cell phones for example) they always deliver extra voltage, even if you measure them in vacuum (without connecting it to anything), you can try to measure it while feeding something and you'll see that the voltage drops. Another test you can do is measure the output of any other source you have winding and you will see that it is also more than it says. If what you need is 12 V because the circuit is delicate you should use a voltage regulator. Another fact, that kind of sources always heats.

In addition to what Jorgeal mentions, these transformers deliver 12VDC when they deliver the nominal current.
