Use cell phone batteries to power AM FM radio

Good afternoon. I have an AM-FM radio that uses 3 AA batteries of 1.5 volts each, that is, it requires a 4.5 volt power supply. I want to connect in series two cell phone batteries of 3.7 volts each, which would result in a total voltage of 7.4 V. Is there a diagram that describes how to lower the voltage from 7.4 to 4.5 volts? Thank you

Hi. you can use a 7805 and at its output place a diode in direct polarization. You will have a tension very similar to what you need. Have you tried only with a phone battery? The radio should work. Regards
