I have a battery charger, BBI brand, model BB80-3-240750D, 750AH, 48VDC output, maximum 120A. This is for charging a forklift battery, the battery is 24 cells.
The equipment turns on and does the starting sequence, counts down 5 seconds and starts charging. However, in the display in which the current is shown, it shows an output of 4 to 8 amps (varies), when previously it showed 60 to 70 amps. It takes 8 hours for the battery to charge and the "dur" alarm is displayed, which means that 80% of the charge could not be reached, or sometimes it even shows the "Lo I" alarm, which is low current. If I disconnect it and use the forklift, the battery runs out very soon in about an hour.
Attached the diagram, however I do not have the control circuit diagram, basically it uses a toroid-type shock coil to measure the current and monitors the voltage output, it sends it first to a small card and then to the one on the display, the control disconnect the equipment if it reaches the load and monitors it to not exceed.
I have already checked the diodes, the 4 are in good condition, I even changed them to rule out that they were damaged.
The transformer gives me voltage but it is somewhat low, around 48 or 49 that marks the battery alone.
I made the connection indicated in the diagram to increase the voltage but it did not work.
Please if someone has worked with these teams and could you help me.
