Home charger voltage regulator

hello everyone would need the scheme of a regulator, overload protector or whatever his name is. I tell you I have a source with a heat sink that is (12a13.7v 27amp) and I want to make a battery charger with it, it charges very well in case the only thing I would need is a voltage regulator and if possible something to give how many amp load

It does not reach 14 volts? With 14 V. only the CI changes: LA 7812, (instead of 7815). Q1 is any pnp that passes 5 Amps, (with its proper heatsink). Greetings.

The voltage and the current are closely related and if you want to control the current, you must vary the voltage and vice versa, I don't know anything different. If you want to decrease the charging current of a battery you must lower the charger voltage and if you want to increase it you must raise it. That's what a charger or battery charge controller is all about. If the batteries are lead, you should charge them until they reach 14.2V and the charging rate (ampere) will depend on the type of lead acid battery and the manufacturer's recommendations. A charging regime of 10% of its capacity will ensure that in 12 hours the battery is charged. Greetings. Ric.

True. I think I have another circuit with continuous; I will see you upload it. I appreciate you marking my mistake. Greetings.

cop2017 ... do not take it badly but you should not erase the schemes that you uploaded because the subject is as we say here "as crazy conversation" :)
Greetings.

I just leave the continuous one. Less mess, (erasing the alternate). Many apologies and repeated thanks. Greetings.

R1: 0.33 OHMS / 10 W R2: 8, 2 OHMS / 2W IC1: LA7815 Q1: PNP POWER 5 Ds 5 to 7: 1N4004 Ds 1 to 4 and C1 Skip them, and use regulated source: set it to 18 volts.

It has a regulated source of 12 to 13.7Vdc so your scheme will not work properly since it requires the implementation of an alternate transformer and rectification without filtering.
You need to give the transformer specifications in case you want to make the circuit from scratch.

I correct: IC1 LA7812. Q1: 5 Amps. Continuous input: 14 volts. When charging, reaching 12 volts leads to the cut to Q1 ceasing the load. I hope it serves Arcadio and I apologize for my previous crap.

My source does not reach that voltage

Just replace the CI with an LA 7812. This will work with 14 Volts, (or 13.7). Greetings, (and I apologize for the possible entanglement in my answers).
