Lower Amperage on a 19.5v 4.62A to 19.5v 3.32A Laptop charger

Hello friends ! I hope you can help me with this issue, since I am not very expert in electronics or electricity although I am very attracted to this fascinating world. I have a DELL Latitude E5410 laptop whose power specification is 19.5v 3.34a / 4.62a. I bought a charger whose power specification is 19.5v 4.62a, which apparently should work because it has the voltage and amperage range indicated by my laptop; However, the charging does not work at all, when I connect it to my laptop, if it turns on perfectly and everything seems normal even the battery charge is done correctly, but after about 3-5 minutes, the cursor will start to freeze the movements until it hardly moves any more than I slide my fingers over the touche pad. AND WHY DO I WANT TO CHANGE THE AMPERAGE TO MY CHARGER from 4.62A to 3.34A? ... because I have placed a 19.5v 3.34a charger with my laptop, EVERYTHING works perfectly and I don't freeze the mouse In advance, I thank you very much for your help!

Is the charger you bought original? the amperage has nothing to do with xq the laptop will only take the amount you need, generic chargers do not always work well on those laptops just like HP, sometimes they don't even charge the battery due to a sensor that they have that works along with the Original charger and not brought by generics.

As an anecdote I tell you that a while ago a client brought me a laptop of those that worked poorly with a charger that I bought online, and when making the measurements this was delivering just 15 Volts even though the label said to be 19 Volts, maybe you have a similar case

Notice that the charger is not really original, maybe here goes my problem. Thank you very much for your comment Jose Ortiz.

Hi Foreinger The power of the charger does not affect its functioning erroneously, since it will only take the current it needs. The important thing is the charger voltage for the PC to recognize it and charge the battery. For you to know, the current delivered by the charger depends on what the PC consumes. If the charger's current were lower, there would be problems. So it is impossible what you want to do. The problem must be another, since the note indicates 3.34 / 4.62A and yours is 4.62A.

Ennio I thank you very much for sharing your knowledge; In my ignorance I assumed that, as I tried my notebook with an original 19v 3.34A charger and it worked perfectly, then lowering the amperage of the charger I bought from 4.62A to 3.34A could solve the problem. But now thanks to your comments I have learned that this factor does not affect my problem and as you say, surely the problem is on the other hand. Thank you very much again !
