What happens if a circuit that exceeds that amperage is placed on a circuit that can only give 1a? the circuit or motor simply doesn't work ?? is the source damaged?

IT DEPENDS, FOR EXAMPLE IF IT IS A SWITCHED SOURCE IT WILL BE PROTECTED WHEN THE ENGINE REQUIRES MOST CURRENT, BUT IF IT RUNS BUT WILL DO IT SLOW, AND IF IT IS A COMMON SOURCE (NOT SWITCHED) THE TRANSFORMER IS IN general THERMAL PROTECTION, WHAT TO WARM UP WILL MAKE IT INTERRUPT AND YOU HAVE TO CHANGE SUCH PROTECTION.
