RELEY (HELISHUN HLS8L-DC12V-SC) 12v 5 pin

I was told that with a 12v reley I could fix it but I don't know how to make the connections, I have a router that is powered by a 12v 2a transformer and a 12v 7a gel battery, I need to do that using a reley (HELISHUN HLS8L-DC12V -SC) 12v 5-pin switches me so that when the power of the transformer is cut off, the battery automatically starts working, the routed consumes 0.800 milliamps, if they could make me a small diagram of how I have to make the connections and if I should add some other component, for me it would be very helpful, thank you very much

Good morning, if you look at your relay on the part of the pins and compare with this image you will know what pin corresponds to each thing, then following the schematic of connections that I sent you in your other question you can arm the circuit, greetings ... It is not necessary for a relay to perform the switching. It is enough for the battery to power the load using a 3A x 200V diode. But if the source delivers 12V, there is no problem in parallel without the diode. If the source delivers over 12.5VDC, the diode must be connected, you connect the router's negative with the battery's negative and in the battery's positive you put the diode. In the correct position the router will turn on and the reverse will not work. In the position that works, you can power the router with the source. The only thing that prevents the diode is that the battery is charged with the source and damaged. With the permission of JoseOrtiz, I modified his diagram.

Excuse me, I'm a beginner and I don't understand much. Could you give me a small diagram of how I should make the connections, I will be very grateful.

Measure the voltage delivered by the router source.
If you deliver 12V to 12.5V, there is no problem in connecting the (+) of the battery with the (+) of the source and the (+) of the router.
In addition, you connect the (-) of the battery with the (-) of the source and the (-) of the router.

Do not worry, they are two valid ways to do it, the two at the end achieve the same purpose

Once the project is done and you take the corresponding tests, the result is super positive, now the problem is that since the router is installed in a country house when I arrive at the place, I realize that the power supply and the router work with 9v, now the question is: Would it work the same with the reley (HELISHUN HLS8L-DC12V-SC) of 12v 5 or not correct? Thank you very much for your advice.

Hi, if it could work with 9v

If the battery is 12V and the router source is 9V, you could damage the router by applying 30% more voltage.
To avoid damaging it, you can lower the voltage with 4 diodes in series. With the scheme you don't need a relay.
