If the original is 8μF and you have a 10μF, you can try it with this one and if it works, then look for the corresponding capacity, since the tolerance range is usually 5%, one of 10μF, exceeds this value.
Since these capacitors do not have polarity like electrolytics, the position of the cables is indifferent. Greetings.
