Windows 7 stopped working ...

Good afternoon everyone in the Forum ... I have problems with Windows 7 Professional on my Desktop DELL Optiplex 990 with BIOS A18; I stop booting and it only goes as far as the windows logo color boxes begin to appear and it restarts itself ... In fact if it worked and it all started with the monitor that started to fail which I gave a clean and I tried it on another computer and I no longer fail. But before returning the monitor to the computer in question I decided to give it a cleaning or preventive maintenance since I had more than a year without doing something similar. But then the matter is worse ... Now window does not start correctly. In fact, do not add or remove anything physically; Just replace the CR2032 battery with a new one and update the Bios with the correct time and date ... The last time I installed Windows 7 I had no problem and I don't remember if I made any changes in the BIOS; in fact the software is new and original for this Desktop ... Thank you ... Atte. Hello rogelio, you would have to do the following, you would have to try to change the hard disk for another one that is newly formatted and walk that you know is going well, then you enter the bios and you notice that it appears in the Bios then you will install the operating system from the reader but it takes the operating system try to make a bootable usb and see if it takes it through the bios to the usb and if it is compatible you can install the operating system from there is this first option but also that it is not highly recommended but it also works is to take out a hard disk and place it on another pc

Hi rogelio look, you would have to go to the bios and see where it is booting if the bios is booting where it belongs you would have to try reinstalling the operating system again ..

I forgot to comment that the hard disk is solid state and as far as reinstalling I tried it and now the team tells me that the hardware is incompatible with the software ... The software I bought it new and original, so I have the CD and all the documentation and installation and activation keys ... In fact this Desktop I bought it in an Outlet and installed Windows 7 Professional from scratch about 18 months ago ...
I am not sure and I do not remember very well but I will not have modified something in the BIOS to accept the solid state HD ?? Thanks for your help and comments.

Good morning ... As I told you this was what I did to solve the problem ...
This is a DELL Optiplex 990 Desktop with Windows 7 Professional and A18 BIOS ...
In BIOS enter :.
1.- System Configuration
2.- SATA Operation
Here I have four options: * Disable
* ATA
* AHCI
* Raid On
And select AHCI and voila ... All other parameters were left by default ...
I hope this works for someone else ...

Good morning ... I told you that I already solved the problem and in fact I tried to apply some of your suggestions but with none I solved it ... From the beginning I thought I moved something in the bios and in the end it was that. I spent a while on the parameters and indeed one of them was wrong, I corrected it and started working without any problem the computer. Anyway Thank you for your help ...
