Hello!
Recently I managed to build my pc again (after trying to sell it in parts for being useless to me), since I gained some more knowledge about computer maintenance, so I could make it work, but in any way the time and the time came I want to change.
I need to buy the pc in parts, so I won't have it right away and I have no problem with waiting. This is my current configuration (let's call it Pentium):
Intel Pentium 4 631 LGA 775 3.0Ghz / 2MB (2006)
2GB RAM DDR2 Dual Channel 333Mhz
Motherboard ASRock Walfdale 1333 D667
I am planning to buy an I5, a motherboard with support ddr4, 8 gb ram ddr 4 and a video card a geforce 1050ti 4gb ddr5 (let's call it i5, I don't put the whole names because I don't want to get to that) and as I said, I I will do in parts, buying one piece at a time.
My question is: If I decide to buy the video card first and use it in the Pentium until I have the other new parts, will there be a problem ?
I worry because if the good gpu comes to present a problem to the Pentium (reject the gpu, or that the PC does not turn on more, or that I get worse for some reason), I better go for the motherboard, or the new processor before of the video card. I'm not in a hurry so if I buy the GPU first, it won't be as if it really delays me.
I hope I have been as clear as possible, and I hope I have placed this in the correct section. Thank you in advance
