I do not think, the screen of the cq40 is 14.1 "and the screen of cq50 is 15.4" same if you put the part number of both screens and we look for them, but they do not appear to be of the same size sorry, I read from cq40 ..

The CQ40 has a 14.1 "lcd display while the CQ45 has a 14" LED. They are not compatible not so much by the size but by the system of backlight
