Hi, I have a laptop of latitudes e7240 and the problem is that my laptop stopped turning on and when I connect the charger, the light that it has turns off and does not charge the battery or anything I already tried the charger on another laptop and it works clearly that I think the problem is in the laptop and dismantle and check the motherboard and seve all good and does not stink burned I hope you can help me thanks

Check the external ones if you already disassembled it, disconnect everything except the fan and turn it on. You connect everything step by step and you will realize where the short one fits or you fix the piece to me it happened to me and it was the same fan I changed it and everything went perfect

Have you disconnected the battery to discard a short in the battery? if so, the problem may be in the center of charge of the lap. For what you say when the charger LED goes out, it means that there is a short so it is protected and turned off.
