I think you lack clarity on something ... both M2 and M5 need "line of sight" (to see each other and without obstacles to each other). A network formed by M5 is not compatible with M2 and vice versa since one works at the frequency of 5.8GHz and the other at 2.4GHz. A Nano Loco M2 works at 1000mts without problem if the above conditions are met (see). The problem is that the 2.4GHz bands are now saturated due to the large number of devices and the fact that the channel overlaps each other so interference will be the problem. You must use compatible devices with the network that you will connect in both the Frequency (2.4 or 5.8), polarity of the signals (Vertical or Horizontal or Mixed), etc. The difference between NanoStation or NanoLoco in both M2 or M5 is the "power", the first is more powerful than the second.
