Your battery has probably deteriorated, if it is a replaceable battery, try to buy a new one, if it is an internal rechargeable battery; First check that the charger supplies the voltage correctly (use a multimeter) and if it is correct, you should send it for repair or risk disassembling the machine and replace the battery yourself. Sometimes you can revive batteries, applying for a few seconds a current around twice the specified one, if it is 5 volt, connect a transformer of max 12 volt for between 5 and 10 seconds and see if it picks up some load. There are devices that if the load does not rise from a minimum (eg 2.7 volt) the device does not turn on and therefore the recharge control circuit is not activated either. PD SPECIAL ATTENTION to the polarities of POSITIVE (red) and NEGATIVE (black) as a reverse connection could permanently damage the camera or worse still explode the battery. regards
