Good afternoon dear members of yoreparo, this time I come to you since this team has arrived, a hometheater phillips mod. Hts3538 / 55 which at the beginning the client informed me that it was heard very softly, to the point of having to glue the ear to the speaker. I proceeded to remove the amplifier card and test everything else and so turn on, I can change the commands and inputs, and checking the source I found that the connector that sends voltages to the audio board was zero. At the source the top260n oscillator was broken, so I proceeded to change it and the source delivered the 26 v that must go to the audio board but when I connect the latter the equipment does not come out of standby, but turns off. I proceeded to remove the 3 integrated audio (tas5342a) to see if these were the causes of the activation of the protection but continued with the same fault. Work with a diagram in hand and on the main card there are the corresponding voltages, apparently the problem is in the audio board, measured components in it, including the smd, and all are in their normal value. Please if you could send me some guidance, I would appreciate it, best regards from Santa Fe, Argentina

Can you indicate what voltages you have in Q2?

hello jomi thanks for answering the question, are the 12 v present in the q2

the 24v pin is apparently not used because the board does not have the components associated with that line

If there is output through Q2, then does the control pulse reach the base of Q3?
And the 5 V are on pin 5 the XP1 connector?
Is there voltage on the power control pin 7 of the XP1?

In fact, jomi voltages are present on pins 5 and 7 of the XP1 connector, 5 V being on pin 5 and 3.3V on the ignition control pin. on the other hand the voltage drop at the base of the q3 is 0.7V and 0 at the other terminals with respect to chassis ground

Try another similar audio board ... but I'm not sure if it was in condition since it didn't work ... the only thing strange is that the source connector has a printout that must exit 33v towards the amplifier, but 26 come out, just as Indicates the amplifier input connector, remove the 3 ci to see if that was the short but still making the same fault.

If it is of any use to you for some time the fault was in the amplifier board, the audio ci TAS5508, presented short between terminals 15 (Vss) and 16 (Vdd), so replace it and it works normal, it was previously repaired. power supply.
