Greetings, I have a mackie power of 2600w, which despite being zero volume controls lets audio pass to the speakers, someone knows what the fault could be ...

most likely the controls are worn, try replacing with new ones same before putting them on and removing the old ones do the following test, bridge the three terminals of the volume control to each other, doing so will send the input signal to ground or ground and therefore the audio should not be heard. If this happens when doing such a test, it is an unequivocal signal that the volume control is not landing the signal properly. regards regards

Greetings, I will do what you propose. Now I would like to know what would happen if I do not change it and leave it that way, that is, maybe at some point I could cut or increase all the audio .. ?? Could it affect the entire operation of the equipment or perhaps the audio quality .. ???

The only thing that happens if you leave it like that, it may be that soon you hear how it scrapes when you move that control and yes.
They also lose their ohmic value due to wear, this affects the position of the volume knob but I do not believe in quality.
