Hello good afternoon to everyone. I wanted to know who has this hot water tank model and what care they have in their electrical installation. They told me that he needs a 20A outlet and others say no. My question is I have a 10A outlet powered by 2.5mm2 cables. If I had to replace the outlet, something happens if I feed it with the 2.5mm2 wires? Unfortunately I cannot pass 4mm2 cables through the corrugated pipe because it is already full. Greetings and I await your prompt response.

Hi. In principle it would not be necessary to change the outlet or cables, you just have to verify that it has a good grounding for safety. The resistances are usually about 1500W that in 220V give you a consumption of about 5 amps so there are no problems to use as is. What if and to be sure verifies the power of the thermos. regards

Sisi in the specifications tells me that it consumes 1500w and that it has a current consumption of 5.6A so I also think that with a 10A outlet it would be fine. What if, my installation does not currently have grounding. It is only protected by a differential and thermal

Are you in a house or apartment? It would be interesting to place a javelin even if it is not for the thermos. In this way and in case of any resistance failure, the leakage will be derived by the javelin and not by the water. The differential will work anyway but when the leak is drifting to ground. When having javelin the differential will act before it is derived to earth for example through a person. It is not that this is going to happen but they are the safety measures that must be taken to avoid accidents. regards

It's a house and I didn't consider that. I'm going to see what I can do about it

If you have a patio with earth near the thermos you can take a cable there to place the javelin.

Hi!! if a 20 ampere socket was necessary, it would have a card of equal amperage ... it could not be connected in a ten outlet ... usually these water tanks usually have a consumption of 5 to 7 amperes so a 2-wire cable, 5 millimeters support it loosely ... it would be good as a safety measure because it is a water heater having a grounded javelin connected to it and a differential circuit breaker as a safety measure
