What I check in an abandoned boiler 10 years before turning it on

Greetings Masters of #YoReparo. Continuing with the #MejorandoLaCasaDelGato project, in the department there is a boiler that has been unused for more than 10 years and now I would like to put it into operation. I have never used a boiler (In Acapulco it is never necessary) so I am worse than lost. The doubts I have are: -What should I check before turning it on? -The gas pipe, I check only the input lines or there is something inside that I should check -In the photos you will see that they put it on a metal table and is partially supported by the water pipes. How could I hold it on the wall and if that is appropriate -Some maintenance to do Thanks in advance for your support.

I thank MDQ Heating again for the tips - since I will not be able to give it a point because they were only comments, but let it be known that it also helped a lot -

Hello, start by checking if you do not have gas leaks with water with a few drops of applicable detergent, the water in the threads, stopcock etc. without turning on the pilot if you see that there are bubbles somewhere that is a gas loss, then check if no there are water leaks in the boiler are many without use can have accumulation of tartar at the base would have to be cleaned by the purge tap to remove the accent tartar after that it would be to turn on and try greetings.

In the case of your device there is no bobbin, you can see a white purge valve to the right of the control, you turn it and water will start to come out, cat greetings !!

Do not be bad, and finally complete the idea. How do you attach it to the wall? Or so on a small table is it ok?

Let him run a lot of water until it comes out clean, and if the device is supportive, leave it in its place that is fine, it is not advisable to move it because it can fracture something for the time it has; There is a motto that I learned in school more than 35 years ago and that I always apply it: "If it's not broken, don't fix it"
Regards !!

The strange thing is that after the muddy water, bluish water came out .... I will continue draining another day, but the color became strange to me

The bluish water must come from some copper pipe (or pipe), which does not circulate in this color, let it run for hours, it will take at least 6 or 8 hours until everything is clean; Be patient !!
