Hello forum I have an electric hot water tank brand Ariston Model SG 50 R ARG When the thermostat is connected to the heater and the electric water heater is switched on, it starts to short-circuit on one side of the connections It makes a kind of spark, heats up and begins to "burn" the connection of the thermostat with the resistance I bought a new thermostat because the previous one didn't work anymore and also cleaned the hot water tank inside but it has that error I was told that it may be a short circuit within the resistor and that I would have to replace it, but it is really expensive and I would like to know if there is a way to save it thank you

Hi. Usually the resistors are not shorted, they burn. Have you tested or measured resistance alone? Regards
