Hello everyone.
That is the problem I have with a small piglet of 20 liters that every so often burns the resistance.
I have it connected to a drive so that it only receives 180Vac but it still burns
What I can do?
In that same shot I had another pot that burned because I forgot it on until the water evaporated. After that incident every month a resistance burns.
Hi Roberto, I did not know or thought of suspecting external material. The original resistance comes from bronze, then the one I put was bronze, another aluminum and now sheet metal. They all burn even with the drive.
Ok, I tell you what happened: I took everything apart to replace the resistance and found that it was rotten with rust and decay.
I bought this resistance in the free market in Argentina and the external resistance material is made of sheet metal. It does not work. The bowl is made of stainless steel and it may not be convenient to mix the materials as they may have chemical reactions between them.
Thank you all and I end the topic with Roberto's response.
