ok apparently there is a loose connector or cut cable (if we are pessimistic the electronic control was screwed). I recommend you remove the front cover and check each connector and each 1 x 1 cable following each one and gently pulling them to see if there is any cut. No mice nearby? They gnaw wires like you can't imagine.
