Hello, the 8-fold flashing means triack shorted on the board and if it flashed 6 times before it is a motor problem, therefore the motor or its peripherals (connectors, wiring) are in trouble and that affects the board especially the triack subject to aluminum heatsink. Regards P / D control carbon length and rotor thinner that are not "lifted".
