Good afternoon everyone. A month ago I changed the coals of a 1200rpm MABE washing machine. It is already the 3rd time that I do it myself and the 4th time that it is changed (even thanks to YOREPARO I learned to do it) but this time the coals lasted only one year. Today while I was at home I began to hear a strange noise, I looked at the washing machine and was blowing a very thick smoke. I automatically disconnected it. I took out the lid to see if it was smoke from the plate and I see that it was all full of ollin. I turned it around and saw that the bottom, where the engine is, is all forgotten / blackened. The left coal is with the burned tip and the collector's thinner are in two colors, as seen in the photos. I honestly don't know what it can be. I read that if a washing machine ate a lot of coal, it was because there was a problem with the engine. What dou you recommend? Buy another or have it repaired by a technician? In the end I bought another engine for $ 8500 pesos arg. Against a washing machine of similar specifications worth $ 35,000 (1200rpm and 7kg)
The engine seems to be the same, same features and same brand. It seems to be remanufactured or used since it seems that carbon remains are visible. Or maybe it's the carbon that wasted during the tests.
Anyway, it's already washing. In the middle of the economic crisis, spending 35,000 pesos is very critical.

Buy another engine. That has the induced partial short. He is in danger of burning the plate.

Thanks for the reply. I will surely do that. Out of curiosity, why is such a failure? It has to do with the excessive consumption of coals? Will you have to see the fact that you never rectify the engine?

It is a common fault in universal engines, those with coals. The armature is heated and the internal turns are bridged because the wire varnish melts.

You are little to catch fire .. or send you a cut to the plate ... changing the engine is the best option ... the high temperature is damaging the collector ... reaching the point of either repairing the manifold or starting a new engine
