Hello colleagues, I hope you can help me with a microwave transformer to know what condition it is in, since I did the primary, secondary and high voltage winding measurement tests.
Performing the measurements in the primary I do not find any problem gives me a value of 3 ohms and measuring the chassis is fine, I measure the secondary and also has no problems it gives me a lower resistance of 0.9 ohms and measuring the chassis is fine.
The question I have is in the measurement of the high voltage coil because I have noticed several tutorials and the approximate value is between 50 to 150 ohms, in some of the measurements they give a value of 180 to 190 ohms with the transformer being in good condition. terms.
In my case in the high voltage coil and the chassis I have a value of 220 ohms and my question is whether this value could be considered as normal in some cases or uncommon?
Can this happen depending on the size of the transformer or the manufacturer? (I have noticed that the winding is much finer).
Can this transformer be wrong? since in the other windings they do not present any fault.
I await some response. Thank you
