BGH Quick Chef model 16360 does not heat

Hello colleagues and friends of Yoreparo! I have a BGH microwave model 16360, which I received completely dead (it didn't light anything at all). It turns out that the electronic board transformer had its primary damaged and did not deliver output voltages to the rest of the board. I replaced it and the computer turned on normally. The problem that appeared immediately after, was that the microwave did NOT HEAT. (This model does not have a fuse in the high voltage section). The first thing I did was to check if the 220v of AC reached the input of the high voltage transformer, and I checked that there was no voltage. I checked the 3 door switches and they are OK. With an open door, the pattern is: Upper switch: OPEN Middle Switch: CLOSED Bottom Switch: OPEN After checking the good condition of the door switches, I proceeded to measure the micro thermal fuse and it was also fine. Finally I had to review the Relay of the electronic board. I removed it from the plate, injected 12v, and proceeded to measure continuity at its upper terminals. The relay was perfect. I mounted the relay on the board again and turned on the microwave. The relay is heard that makes the famous "click" but still did not have the 220v power supply in the traffic. I unlinked the card that is connected to the relay, reconnected the microwave, and proceeded to measure continuity at the top terminals of the relay. To my surprise, there was no continuity. That is to say: outside the electronic board, the relay behaves perfectly. But when mounted to the board, despite reaching its respective 12v, and despite hearing that it is activated, the relay does not fulfill its function, THAT IS, DO NOT CLOSE THE CIRCUIT. (note: the functions of the panel, the cooking time, and all the programs, work correctly, but as I said, the mic does not heat because there are no 220v that feed the high voltage supply). I have no idea the cause why this happens. How is it possible that the relay works out of the circuit, but when placed in it, the relay will work "halfway"? I hope that those who have more experience in this area can give me a hand. As always I will value each and every one of the answers. I leave below the only diagram I could find of the microwave in question: Thank you in advance! ;)

you should check if the 12 vol are constant in the relay because you want it is only an impulse that comes to you therefore when you want to measure it does not give you anything it can be that the voltage of the 12 vol in the coil is not constant check that because there should be the problem

Check if the voltage that reaches the relay is constant or is cut because it is the only thing that occurs to me is that there is the problem in the relay supply

otherwise did you operate the microwave for a while before measuring if it reaches 220 to the primary of the transformer?

Hi. First of all thank you for answering. Yes, I made it work for a while. I put it to work testing all the functions and even ran the cooking programs of 1, 5 and 10 minutes. I will see if the relay 12v voltage is constant to see what happens;)

Charly Check the filter that is related to the coil of the relay, many times it dries causing that the internal platinum of the relay does not enter strongly or also that the plates have some carbon, try another relay that you have there, regards

Hi Fermin. I changed the relay but with the same result. Not sure which filter is associated with the relay. I will upload photos to see if they can guide me with the happy filter :)

charly then do you hear it coming in? but does not activate, put on the card does not mark continuity the plates? check it with the multimeter, of course if it is heard that it is activated, it is very rare, well following the 2 legs of the relay coil you must find the filter, greetings

Well, I commented that I checked the voltage on the relay, and it is not constant. At the time of putting the microwave to work, the voltage is 0.09 volts. I clarify by doubts how I made the voltage measurement in case I was wrong: With the door closed, connect the power to the microwave plate, and start the cooking program, but without connecting the high-voltage supply to the relay, that is, I left its upper terminals disconnected, and took voltage reading at the terminals relay power supply on the board (relay 12v input). I leave photos of the plate in question: I think the problem is obviously on the plate. If you can guide me a little I will thank you infinitely! Hug!

check the electrolytic capacitors out there may be the problem

charly checks the transistors that are related to the legs of the relay coil, removed check them, so that they do not lie the measurements, many of the times those transistors mark good, but when the voltage enters they leak, if you have transistors, change them , Cheers

Fermin told you that the problem was a very small transistor right at the entrance of the relay! I replaced it with a similar one and it worked!
Another sick man who stood up :) :) :)
MANY THANKS!!!
