Hi everyone. I have a ceiling fan that is installed (hung) that I was told was in operation. They made repairs in the house and took out the gearbox leaving only the mentioned cables ... Question: how do I identify each cable to be able to connect it again to a voltage box? I have to get the box ... (the fan has no lights). The fan is somewhat inaccessible to reach it and lift it. If I have access to all three cables, thank you

If the fan has no lights 1 cable is the Return, it is connected to the capacitor along with another cable that comes from the motor and is connected to the gearbox on the wall. 1 Earth wire, usually green / yellow or green, connected to the metal part of the motor and connected to Earth from the roof mouth. 1 cable is the Neutral, it is the cable that remains and connects to the Neutral of the roof mouth. I interpret that the three wires are in the drive. Not in the fan itself .... In that case a cable would be left over what should be seen if apart from the drive there is nothing else like a switch or an outlet


