Good, I have a doubt this TV came with the fault of damaged LEDs which made it protect and not turn on the backlight (tv un40f5000ag SAMSUNG), when I opened it I noticed that the TV had already been "repaired" which was not so, I I found 3 damaged LEDs, I replaced them and the backlight turned on, but when I came from another place the last one to open it did not replace the acrylics (or I don't know what material it is or what they are called ...) that are placed on top of the LEDs, the question I have is how that acrylic could be replaced, since the light emitted by the LEDs is not stronger and white circles appear on the screen. Thanks in advance.

Hi friction, late but sure, I saw that in the open market they sold those lentils, I could not find it, everything you try is going to go wrong ... those diffusers let the light out for the sides and down so that it bounces on the White plastic that goes under the LEDs, you can buy a used strip, whether it works or not, you take out the lenses and voila, what country are you from? In the free market there are many who sell used LED strips, you can take out the lens and paste it with fastik, the height and centering are critical to not see glares, you can measure the height in one that is original, You can also cut the entire led and paste it on the strip I found them :) http://articulo.mercadolibre.com.ar/MLA-664086528-lente-optica-para-tv-led-backlight-por-unidad-_JM

Excellent Tobias, I was just finding out and in the free market they sell a complete strip for this TV at $ 650 (I'm from San Luis) and from there I put that new one and the old one I took out, I had it thinking about cutting it out and welding it up as you told me. Thank you.

I call them light expanders, that is because of the issue of the angle of light emitted by the LEDs, if it were not for these acrylics on the whole TV you will see points of light in white and it is horrible, if or if you have to put these I also saw them in ML tobias: D

Hello, I would advise you to go to any service in the area and ask or buy a diffuser so your panel looks like it should be. regards

try placing paper sheets for photocopying in the area where you make the circles. Mylar sheets are the ones you bring from the factory.

Well, that was another doubt that had crossed my mind, in a led that had remained, the reflector sheet had also burned, which I referred to are these plastiquitos http://prntscr.com/fs63qm

That is the diffusers of the LEDs, you have to get from other LEDs and paste them up. Where do I put the nuvos.
