If the capacitance is increased, it does not affect the operation of the equipment once the device is switched on. What can happen for very high values of microfarads, is that the starting current when turning on the device rises sharply by melting the fuse and if the fuse endures, the life of the ignition switch is shortened. When you turn it off you may also notice that it does not immediately de-energize, this is due to the load stored in the filters. Except for these two inconveniences, which may or may not occur, there is no affectation.
