Hello colleagues: I received an LG 42LB5600 with black screen and with sound, and everything else well .. practically new and with a little more than 1 year of use according to the client. When proceeding to disarm to check the LED strips I find 4 burned LEDs, which were the causes that did not turn on the blanking. Once they were changed, each 8 LED strip accused me of 41 volts in all. The changed LEDs were 6 volts, with the voltage at the anode and inverted cathode with respect to those I knew. The LEDs used had the same performance as the others and the voltage that came to them from the source was correct as indicated in the plate. THE PROBLEM I find the 4 8 of the loose lenses, which caught my attention. These lenses have only 3 tips that support the 3 tips of the flex, I proceeded to join some test with cyano gel, but did not peel off, then using Star 922 paste by gluing only the three aligned points, apparently they were well glued. While I did not take note of the separation that each had with the base of the flex. After assembling and placing the two filters that has only and the screen assemble everything. The points of the LEDs are marked slightly on the screen in most of the LEDs. in some screen changes I will appreciate if any colleague had a similar problem can give me your opinion about it. Best regards Julio Gramont

Hello: With the help of colleagues the problem has been solved. It should be noted that the colleague who reported placing the LED refelectors
With the LEDs on, you are correct, you should look for the right spot, but it can give very intense light, which may be marked on the screen.
similar to what happened to me. Best regards

Hello, it is common for this damage to happen due to the heat emitted by the LED and the time of use of the TV and these lenses are detached from its base to paste you must clean the residues from which it came off, if several have left You can stick with transparent silicone if it is much better thermal and put on the sides of the base, do not use instant glue since they burn the plastic and create a white vapor film that covers the lens, another is to use epoxy glue of transparent resin and let dry, before placing everything and assemble you must verify those lenses that are moving or giving off since if they come out in full armed the result will be an intense light in that place where the lens came off. Whenever you paste it it is not aligned as it comes from the factory but it is so unless you change the whole rule or rules, it is a small error to a certain extent passable since in a way it looks or stands out a little light in those places.

Hi. Very good opinion of the colleague. Thank you. I have glued the LED lenses with HEATSINKPLASTER START 922, It is not bad but dry in 3 hours forge in 24 hours and it is colorless, yields a lot of 5 grams reaches for more than 50 LEDs.
I rectify the amount of led are 32 led in 4 strips.
Given the points that appeared on the screen, I disassembled the TV again checking the filters on the screen are well placed, I FIND 3 SHORT LEDs that do not turn on. I will repair that problem that seems very common in these models and see if it has a solution.
Regards

If this fault is quite common, once the LEDs have changed, the backlight in the menu drops to less than 70%.

Another thing that could happen to you is that you had not placed, the filters in the position they were coming, they all have faces, and it should be left exactly the same, even, the white and rigid reflector has a face .... greetings.

Hello: Unless you find it invested elsewhere, I placed the screen as it was, passing everything to the side of the screen and the two filters together above the thin, down the thick. and vice versa, and they fit correctly in the guide. But I will verify what you tell me, which can be it.
I had a similar problem with another LG with 6 volt LED, but in that case I blamed the diodes that fit, since only they were marked. His light was more powerful. Thanks and regards

Hello colleagues : Regarding the problem of the appearance of white dots on the screen, I record that I disarmed the TV again. LG42LB5600 Check the following as stated by colleagues. I comment in case someone can serve In my opinion, the filters were well placed, there are tabs that prevent them from being turned upside down. The thickest with the roughness towards the led. . The next transparent by placing a pencil behind it is seen on the right The transparent one that continues to place a pencil behind it is seen on the left and the first one behind the screen is opaque, smooth part towards the LEDs. The LEDs were all in place. I didn't like the HEATSINK PLASTER glue when I checked them gently some of them took off In this regard I will use the resin advised by the colleague from now on. The colleague told me to place the LEDs with the strip on is correct in this LG. where it is almost impossible to match the three points of the lens to the base a slight error, goes from a dim light to a powerful light .. In the first test, when disarming, I got my attention because I had LEDs that looked very powerful and much less through the lens, they were the ones that were marked as white dots, It was my mistake to paste them somewhat displaced and without controlling their brightness with the lens on. I think that was the reason. However, I am trying to modify in the best way the related source so that the LEDs are not burned, very common in this type of LG. I never had this problem when changing 3-volt led and in a month 2 LG with 6-volt led has the same thing happened to me. Regards Julio Gramont

Hi. Finalized ratified that the fault was caused by improper placement of the reflective lenses to the LEDs. they must be placed correctly matching the 3 points that they have to the 3 points of the base. a small devisation will produce a white spot or white dot on the screen. Loctite gel glue Super glue or transparent epoxy should be used by placing a minimum amount on the 3 points with a toothpick. The 208 v of the plate was lowered to 190v at start and 153 at operation. 100 level background and minimum energy. removing 4 Rb of the mosfet exciter led R11 R12 ...
