Hello friends!!! I have a problem with an AOC brand LCD flat screen TV whose model is the L32W931. It does not turn on and / or does not start. The red Standby LED flashes, and cannot be operated with the buttons. To try to solve it, I proceed as follows:
1) I verify the voltages granted by the power supply board in each of its terminals, and there are three types of voltages in its secondary output such as 5 volts, 12 volts, and 24 volts. In the part of five volts, with all the other connected panels that make up the unit, I find a great drop to 4.1 volts; and in the part of 12 and 24 volts, with the multimeter I find variable voltages such as from 12 to 14, from 14 to 16, from 16 to 10, from 10 to 7 volts and finally.
2) I isolate the power supply from the rest of the stages such as inverters, panel, and main board; and I find in the terminals of five volts a voltage of 5.2 volts, but in the part of 12 and 24 volts nothing, 0 volts. This with the power supply board so alone, independently, connected to the 220-volt home electrical network. So before this hypothesis I begin to suspect the main board, and I go to the next procedure.
3) Replacement by another main board of the same characteristic 715G3364, and what a bad leg! I bought another 715G3364 main board for $ 100, and I have the same symptoms. Then my suspicions return to the power supply.
4) I replace the power supply of the unit with an ATX computer source as a test using its 5 and 12 volts, and feeding the main board in its corresponding terminals; and the unit turns on and starts, when the power button of the fixed red light of the LED is activated, the green LED light turns on.
Obviously the problem lies in the power supply, but I don't find any electrolytic capacitor exceeded or inflamed, no diode or transistor short or leaking at the source; what will it be then?
