Hello Friend,
1- First of all enter the menu, look at the settings that have to do with the illumination of the LCD panel such as: energy saving, wallpaper, brightness that are not in the minimum saturation percentage.
2- Look at the voltage supplied by the "Backlight" source for the LEDs, which is correct.
3- If the source "Backlight" is well check in what conditions are the LEDs, being very careful not to damage the LCD panel "display" since it is very fragile and is very easy to split, you say you do not have much experience I recommend looking for someone with experience in handling these LCD panels and thus avoid damage to regret.
Good luck friend and regards from Valledupar Colombia.
