Hello people.
Some time ago, a year or so ago, I bought my grandfather an antenna so he could watch open digital television channels (tda). Soon it stopped working. I climbed it to an old tower and the problems were over. Two months ago, only one channel is seen and at times. I tried everything but there is no case. I took my grandfather's TV to my house and all the channels are seen, which leaves me with a great doubt: will it be the antenna or the coax?

You should check the continuity of the coaxial cable, which makes contact with the antenna. Normally bring a small transformer (balun) that couples the antenna with the drop cable. It usually burns and the antenna is inoperable. Check all that. Greetings

Thank you Victor. In my case the antenna does not bring a (balun) but a black box with an integrated one. I don't have a multimeter but tomorrow comes a friend who has that tool and I'll measure the continuity of the cable. Thank you in advance for your response and I told you that I bought cable with the respectful connectors, just in case.
