Hello community, I am sorry to bother you but the truth is that I no longer knew what to do (the only technician who still repairs monitors in my neighborhood, is an appliance butcher with whom we all have bad experiences). The problem began about a month and a half ago, first sporadically, but as time goes by it becomes more accentuated. Basically, the monitor makes lightning, white or black horizontal stripes, sometimes it turns all black and then the image returns, but it is as if the image "throbs" all the time. It is not that it goes out, because the yellow light is always on, but that the screen turns black. The other day he was using it and it began to darken gradually, as if the brightness was dimming, until it was so dark that almost nothing was visible, and suddenly the image returned. Sorry, but I don't know if I explain myself well. Just turned off and it took about a minute to return the image (sometimes when I shake it a little it comes back haha). As I mentioned in the title, it is a Samsung SyncMaster 794v monitor, I know it is old but it was so faithful during all these years and has such a beautiful image that I feel rejection to change it. The PC is also old and has Windows 10. I touched the power cable and the VGA cable in case either one was short or something similar, but I didn't notice any reaction. To top it off the VGA cable in this model is installed on the monitor, so you could not change it for another. Another thing I did was start Windows in safe mode, but the same thing happens there too. I attach a video of how the monitor behaves: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1tRn040-0Fe-EZAL11sMXBvgeqqc28E5o/view?usp=sharing I would appreciate any suggestions or advice in this regard. Thanks in advance!

Hi. It's ten years. It's not little. I would think of a monitor change ... You can also perform a visual inspection inside. Search for "things" like capacitors in poor condition, loose connectors. Be VERY careful as there are areas of high voltage accumulated in the equipment, near the base of the tube, specifically. Greetings from Uruguay

Rioja friend, thank you very much for taking the time to respond. I'm going to take it apart over the weekend to see what state it is in, but I will also be evaluating alternatives, it happens that I had no such expense at this time. Infinite thanks and good night!
